Dear colleagues, The faculty retreat will start at 9:30am on May 8 in the Old Union Hall and we expect to wrap up the retreat before 4pm. If you have not accepted the calendar invite Marie sent out some time ago, please accept it as soon as possible to help us plan for the lunch. If you cannot attend the retreat, please let me know. Below is the tentative agenda for the retreat: - School Business (like a school meeting)   Tentative agenda:         * Update on Faculty Search and School Director Search         * ABET Update         * Academic Software Needs for 2025-26 * School Leadership Transition * Future Challenges for the School * Miscellaneous items - CS/IS Curriculum in the age of AI/LLM (Discussion) - New AI-related degree programs (Discussion) - Lunch Break - Student presentation about improving employment preparation - MS Termination Project - PhD student recruiting and management - Research/Funding Activities & Future Challenges - Watson Workload Data Faculty not supervising MS termination projects (generally faculty without a doctoral degree) do not need to attend the last four agenda items.
