Our Key Offerings
- Academic Opportunities: CMENAS encourages students to pursue the Middle East and North Africa Studies major and minor, housed in the MEAMS department. These programs offer interdisciplinary learning on regional history, politics, languages, religions, and cultures.
- Research Initiatives: CMENAS supports cutting-edge faculty and student research that explores both historical and contemporary themes, including digital humanities, cultural heritage, and regional geopolitics.
- Outreach and Public Engagement: Our public mission includes organizing film screenings, speaker series, and teacher workshops that bring knowledge to K–12 classrooms and the broader public.
- Funding Opportunities: CMENAS offers financial support through student travel grants, faculty research funds, curriculum development grants, and awards such as the Donald Quataert Prize.
