University-Assisted Community Schools Implementation

University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) leverage the human, material, financial, and academic resources of the university, school districts, and community agencies to reduce barriers to learning for students in PK-12.

The ßÙßÇÂþ» Center for Community Schools is proud to lead UACS efforts in Broome, Tioga, and Chenango counties. In partnership with local school districts and community agencies, ßÙßÇÂþ» Center for Community Schools:

    • Develops academic partnerships with schools to work on local, community-based problem solving
    • Supports schools in their efforts to become more equitable, engaging, and supportive learning environments
