15 Students Share What They’re Thankful For

With Thanksgiving break right around the corner, I talked to students to learn about what they’re most thankful for. Their answers highlight how each student has their own unique experience and perspective.

“I’m most thankful for my friends, my roommates and the . They’ve supported me through everything and have been my best friends since I first got to school. I’m super thankful for them.”

“I’ve been a part of here at for the past three years. I’m thankful for it because I was very involved with music in high school and didn’t have the chance to continue that until joining the station. The people in radio are always the best – we’re all super into music, which I love. I’m happy to be on the radio and thankful for everyone there.”

“I’m thankful to be part of the and for how it has guided me in understanding what path I want to take for the rest of my time at .”

“I’m thankful for the diverse culture on campus that allows everyone to celebrate our differences and come together as one.”

“I’m thankful for being part of the club on campus! It’s a club where we hang out with people with intellectual disabilities, and it’s truly a meaningful experience.”

“I am grateful for my family because they love me through blood, sweat and tears.”

“I’m thankful for professor, Kaz, the director of the calculus department. He made me like math when it was scary at first.”

“I’m thankful for the and all the friendships it’s brought together for us. I work with Natalie every Wednesday, and I feel like we’ve become a lot closer than we were before.”

“I’m very grateful for my professors during my college experience. They’ve been so accommodating and have made my classes significantly less stressful.”

“I’m thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had at , such as the extracurriculars I’m a part of now, like . I’m very grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve received through that club.”

“I’m thankful for my friends! They make it fun to be here on campus – I have lunch with them and I like having classes with them too. They make my day more fun.”

“I’m thankful for my dog, Cassy. She’s the best! She’s an emotional support animal, and I love taking her on walks. It’s sad not having her with me at school, so I’m really excited to see her for Thanksgiving!”

“I’m a transfer student, so I’m thankful for all the people I’ve met here. Until the summer, I didn’t know anyone, but I joined several clubs and started taking a Korean class. I made so many friends in a short amount of time, and I’m very thankful for that.”

Paula Andrade is a junior from Ecuador. She majors in business administration with concentrations in marketing and business analytics, and minors in global studies. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a marketing career in the nonprofit sector. In her free time, she enjoys reading history, dancing, traveling and watching horror movies.
