Background
Lisa R. Timmermann hails from a small town in North Rhine-Westphalia and has taught German as a foreign language to immigrants and refugees in Germany, as well as to learners online. During the pandemic, she hosted a conversation podcast for intermediate and advanced German language learners. Her PhD research focuses on contemporary satirical fiction by global women writers, but she also enjoys writing about Kafka.
